The Daily Cougar wrote a nice little blurb about our radio show. Tiffany said: “We want to inform the community about the group and expose UH President Renu Khator’s injustices on the campus,” Oh yeah!

Listen to Tiffany and Markos hosting KPFT’s Open Journal. And guess what, even though we personally invited UH President and Chancellor Renu Khator to call in and explain herself, she didn’t call in. She’s a scaredy cat!

Newsletter features SFT leader Tiffany Le

student profile Campus Progress is a non-profit headquartered in Washington D.C. and part of the Center for American Progress. Campus Progress helps young people get their voices heard on issues that matter. Last year they gave us a grant and we’ve reapplied to get another one. Anyway their July newsletter featured a profile on our member Tiffany Le. They obviously know a contender when they see one.

Letter to Houston Chronicle editor supports us

The Houston Chronicle published a letter to the editor in their hard copy on June 23, 2008. Emily Nghiem wrote: “…These protests serve as an inspiring reminder that we all share responsibility for how we participate in a free market, where security and growth depend on educating buyers and empowering workers to build a sustainable economy.”

Houston Chronicle covers our coffee bean of justice

We had a nice little press conference and rally with support from the Service Employees International Union, ACORN, the Houston Peace and Justice Center and UH Students Against Sweatshops.
